We Are Not in New Canaan. We Are on Greenwich Avenue.
Straight answer: there is no New Canaan location. The salon is at 401 Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, CT, and that is the only place you will find us. From New Canaan the usual route is Route 106 or Smith Ridge down to the Merritt, then west, around twenty five to thirty minutes without traffic. It is an inland drive rather than a shoreline one, which is why it holds up better than I-95 at the end of the day.
What We Do
SPLITfix is Paulo's professional in-salon service. It works strand by strand to remove split and broken hair while helping preserve the length you already grew. It is a cosmetic service focused on the look and feel of damaged hair, and it is not a haircut. Alongside it we handle breakage work for hair that snaps at one height, and recovery care for hair left rough, porous, or fragile after color, lightening, keratin, or heat. Every visit starts with an assessment, because the plan depends on what your ends are actually doing, not on what a category name suggests.
What We See Most From New Canaan Clients
A lot of what arrives from New Canaan is well maintained hair that quietly stopped holding length. Years of soft, low contrast highlights layered over each other and refreshed on schedule, until the oldest lightened hair at the ends has been through it so many times that it gives out. The color looks expensive. The last two inches feel like thread. We also see blow dry dependence, twice weekly rounds of heat on a brush always in the same direction, leaving the surface smooth and the interior brittle. Clients are often surprised the trouble sits underneath rather than on top.
The Drive and Parking
Route 106 or Smith Ridge connects to the Merritt Parkway, then west toward Greenwich, exiting at Round Hill Road or North Street. Expect roughly twenty five to thirty minutes in normal conditions. There is metered parking on Greenwich Avenue plus municipal lots a block off it. The Merritt route is usually the calmer choice in the late afternoon.
Book Your Assessment
Book a SPLITfix assessment and Paulo will look at your ends under magnification before anyone suggests cutting anything. If you would rather start at home, take the HairIQ quiz for a home care routine built around what your hair is actually doing. Either way, you are welcome to make the drive from New Canaan whenever it suits your schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it worth the drive from New Canaan?
The honest test is what you are being asked to give up locally. If the recommendation is several inches off hair you have grown for years, then a half hour drive to find out whether that is necessary is usually worth making once.
Do you have a New Canaan location?
No. One salon only, at 401 Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, CT. New Canaan clients travel to us.
My highlights are soft and well done. Why are my ends still failing?
Because the ends have usually been lightened many more times than the mid lengths. Even gentle work accumulates on hair that has been through it repeatedly, and the oldest sections lose strength first. It is not a verdict on your colorist.
Will this change my color?
It is not a color service. It focuses on split and broken strands. Cleaner ends often make existing color look brighter, but the formula and the tone stay with whoever does your color.
